About the Artwork:

When I experience sound through my Synesthesia, it is never 2D. Instead, it is staggered. It comes in waves, moving and flowing with the rhythm.

'Things Will Look Better in the Morning' is part of an ongoing series exploring my response to music.

I build each painting in a series of layers. First, glazing translucent hues to create a vibrant saturation of colour, and later working in buttery impasto strokes to create movement and texture within each piece.

Vivid hues of forest green and turquoise carve their way out of the darkness, guided by a shock of acid chartreuse. 'Things Will Look Better in the Morning' is a world of its own, continually shifting.

If this artwork is to be shipped internationally, it will be removed from its frame and shipped rolled in a rigid mailing tube, ready for stretching and framing at your local framer unless requested otherwise.
